“ Most food are good. I got hot and sour soup, general tso chicken, eggplant, mapo tofu, some dimsum dishes. Their eggplant was mixed with broccoli, which is kinda cheap, and their tofu was too spicy, but i think that's how authentic mapo tofu is like ”
“ The beef chow fun is so good. I thought of it often after leaving. So glad we could come back and have it again. We tried the sesame chicken today and it's also good. It isn't overly breaded like so many places. ”
“ I'm all about traditional dim sum—no need for fusion or modern twists. My go-to dishes are the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf and the turnip cake. I only visit places that serve these classics, and Hong Kong Bistro always delivers on flavor. Their soup dumplings and other regular dumplings are fantastic, and my husband never skips the chicken feet, tripe, and fish maw soup. They have everything we love, and to top it off, they've started serving chrysanthemum tea! A definite 10/10—highly recommend. ”
“ Met up with a group of friends for dinner. We ordered a little bit of everything which were all delicious. Great service too. Definitely had an awesome dinner. Food we ordered: * Corn Soup * Peking Duck * Sweet and Sour Bass * Salt and Pepper Pork Chops * Shrimp with mixed vegetables * House Special Fried Rice * Chicken Feet * Shu Mai * Brown Beef Tripe * Beef Broccoli Thank you! ”
“ I very rarely give an establishment a five star rating because I believe there's always room for improvement but this place was great. Nikki, our waitress, was helpful and patient with us as we tried to decide from an extensive menu. Appetizer: garlic shrimp egg rolls (my partner loved them), and egg drop soup (which I loved). I ordered general chicken with rice and he ordered chicken, pork and mushrooms with rice. They have specials on weekends (egg custard pastry or pineapple rolls). We tried the egg custard pastry and it was delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness! The wait staff worked together to make sure our table's service was seamless. I appreciate the effort and attention given. Edit: We went on Saturday and couldn't stop thinking about that egg drop soup so we went back on Monday. Jenny, our waitress, was pleasant. This time we knew more of what we wanted. Now, if I could only figure out how to order from here when I go back home ”
“ The bad reviews on here are from people that don't understand Dim Sum. I had a great experience and will def return. A bit pricey but I don't care the food is good and the service is very fast. I went for lunch and the place was full of Asians to me was a good sign. ***Update: Caught a redfish and brought it here for dinner, they cooked it for me (sweet and sour style) and it was great. ”
“ Everything was very clean, service was friendly, and the food was great! Sweet and sour shrimp... everything was fresh, nothing was fried. Vegetables and pineapple were fresh. Actually sweet and sour instead of only sweet! Honey Walnut Shrimp, everything also fresh and not overcooked or undercooked. Beef Brisket soup, Hot and Sour Soup. My family and I have each tried some of these and all were good or great! ”
“ This is our goto place in Jax for dim sum - no other place in north east florida compares to hong kong bistro, truthfully. on the weekends, you can experience the traditional dim sum on the carts, or if you come during the weekdays for lunch, you can simply just order dim sum off of the menu. there's plenty of tables and seating so even though the wait line is out the door some weekends, you'll typically be sat down with your 10 people party within 20-30 mins. food comes out quickly so they dont waste any time getting you in and out. the quality of dim sum is definitely up to par with some of the best places that we frequent in other markets like Orlando or Atlanta - variety is just enough as well, and pricing is pretty reasonable. we love this place in Jacksonville. my new favorite is the salt and pepper pork chops...mmmm mmmm so ONO! ”
